MY FLOW TAIL

Privacy Policy

At My Flow Tail we collect as little data as possible — especially when it comes to children. Below you'll find which data we process, why, and what rights you have. Version: draft for the testing phase; the final text will be legally reviewed before launch.

Provisional text. This page is a working draft. The definitive legal wording will be reviewed before launch based on applicable European and Belgian law.

Who is responsible

My Flow Tail is responsible for the processing of personal data via this website (myflowtail.com). You can reach us for all privacy questions through our contact page.

Once the company is officially registered, the full company details (registered office, company number) will be added here.

What data we collect

Personalization (stays in your browser during the testing phase): your child's first name, an age group (3–4, 5–6, 7–8 or 9–10 years), optionally a second first name, the first name of a parent or caregiver, and the chosen goals and themes. This data is stored locally on your device to show you a preview and is not sent to us unless you later actually place an order.

Early access / newsletter: your first name, email address, the product you're interested in, and optionally your child's age group.

Contact form: your name, email address and the content of your message.

Technical data: anonymous or pseudonymized data about website usage (pages visited, personalization flow progress), to understand which products and themes appeal to visitors.

We deliberately do not ask for a child's date of birth, last name, school, address or photos.

Why we use this data (legal grounds)

Early access and newsletter: based on your consent, to keep you informed about the launch. You can unsubscribe at any time.

Personalization: based on your consent and, in case of a later order, for the performance of the contract — without a name and age group we cannot create a personalized product.

Website analytics: based on our legitimate interest in improving the website and offering, using as little data as possible.

Children's data

We never directly process data entered by a child themselves; the personalization is always filled in by a parent or caregiver.

We use your child's first name and age group solely to create the product. We do not use them for profiling, advertising or other purposes.

Who we share data with

We never sell or rent out personal data. We only share data with services needed to make the website work and to reach you (hosting, email delivery, and later: printer and carrier). These parties may only use the data for our assignment.

How long we retain data

Early access and newsletter data: until you unsubscribe, or at most 24 months after your signup if no launch follows.

Local personalization: stays in your browser until you delete or overwrite it yourself; you can always remove it via your browser's storage settings.

For a later order, we retain order and personalization data as long as needed for delivery, warranty and the legal accounting obligation (in Belgium usually 7 years for invoicing data).

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict processing, data portability and object. You can withdraw your consent for the newsletter or early access at any time.

Send us a message via the contact page — we respond within 30 days.

Not satisfied with our approach? You can file a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (www.gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit.be).

Security

We secure data with appropriate technical and organizational measures, including encrypted connections and access limited to those who need it.

Changes to this policy

We update this policy whenever our operations change. The most recent version is always on this page; in case of important changes we will notify registered early access participants.
